In light of recent events, it would seem that we are edging ever so closer towards a new cold war between the west and Russia. Russia's recent cyberattack on Estonia raised more than a few eyebrows and when it was followed by the test of a new missile with the capability to launch multiple nuclear warheads, a cold chill traveled across Europe. Well, it traveled across the spines of those with enough common sense to realize that there is a looming danger present.

This is not meant as an alarmist theory or attitude. Rather, it is an attempt to put in the current goings on in Russia into its proper perspective. (Not that I am insinuating I am an absolute expert on the subject...I am merely a person who has a strong interest in the subject matter) So, I am going to start blogging about recent events into their proper context and I will put then side by side with historical essays and musings on old Cold War pop culture.

Should be a fun ride.
