I was recently listening to an audio book about World War II and there was a section on it where it was discussed that Hitler wished to invade Russia in order to acquire its vast agricultural resources. This provided a unique insight into the fact that the German powers to be understood that their political system would never support feeding for the population for any amount of time. (The Third Reich's economic policies were crackpot to say the least)  This section of the audiobook only covered Hitler's interest in Germany in a very brief manner but it got me interested in  learning more about the USSR's  involvement  in World War Two.  Maybe that will be a series of special features in this blog. Actually, it will be a huge  a special feature....just let me do a little  research on the subject.
