No, this was not originally filmed in color. It is black and white film that has been colorized via the good old colorization process. It is odd, however, to see Lenin in color and in a series of scenes where he is acting almost whimsical. Then again, it is tough not to be whimsical when you are on the winning side of a revolution during the "glory days" of the egalitarian society.
